Alberta Kallon is a Sierra Leonean filmmaker, storyteller and educator. Her work in film includes " Mother's Pie",
"Have You Seen My Glasses?", and " The Fittest" which she wrote, produced, and directed. Her vision is to tell life affirming stories that allow African, Black, and queer folx to see themselves, find themselves and free themselves. She aims to create work that is empowering and thought provoking.
Writer, Producer's Biography-
Leilani Rosine is a writer and producer, from Brooklyn, NY; with her credits including the short film " The Interview" (official selection for the 2022 Deltas of Charlotte Black Women in Film showcase), the web series "Homework", and the Black American History episodic " TORCH". She is the founder of Calibr Films, a production company based in NY, that focuses on adding to the diverse ways in which Black women and men are seen in film. As an actor, her work includes film, television, and theater. Born and raised in East New York, Brooklyn,she received her B.F.A from the California Institute of the Arts' School of Theater, and studied abroad at the National Drama School of New Zealand Toi Whakaari. She has performed on stage at Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, The New Federal Theatre, The Lorraine Hansberry Theater ( San Francisco), REDCAT( LA), and The Newman Center Opera House (CO). She was recently seen as the lead in the film "Sheet Music" which garnered her the Best Breakout Performance award at the 2022 Philadelphia First Glance Film Festival.
