DOMINIC DANIEL, hailing from Detroit, wasted no time making his mark in Hollywood, scoring roles in film and television shortly after arriving in Los Angeles. Dominic is a multifaceted artist and entrepreneur. He founded Rock City Media to produce various film and television projects, including his directorial debut "Past Due," Fiendish, the upcoming horror feature Skinned, and the television series King Pin. His passion for storytelling extends to children's literature, where he has authored a series of empowering books for young readers. As a detail-driven and experienced creative writer with over ten years of experience developing and producing original content for various media platforms, he's confident that he is ready to take on the challenges of creating a television show. A background in writing content for online and television has pushed Dominic to develop innovative content and given him the leadership experience garnered through years of production and development. Recently, his new play, Black Bottom Shake: The Musical, was selected for workshop by Theater Square, adding the title of playwright to his credits, which already include being a story editor and writer for shows developed for MTV and Machinima (WB).
KAREEM FERGUSON is a Belizean-born, South Central L.A., living hyphenated artist who wrote, directed, produced, and acted in the multi-award winning short film 'GAY BABY' which played 19 Film Festivals and won 'Best LGBT Comedy Short' and 'Best Original Short Screenplay as well as multiple audience awards. He produced and starred in the horror thriller “Tethered,” which Gravitas Ventures released theatrically and on streaming platforms. Kareem was one of 10 actor-director-hyphenates selected in the inaugural “Find Your People Party,” an incubator launched by actress Issa Rae and Color Creative TV to help BIPOC artists come together and provide a real opportunity to take their stories off the page and onto the screens.
Most recently, he hosted “Neighborhood TV Georgia,” a daily political news show, and played Clarence in the HBO series “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty'' and is the character Lemar in the Netflix/Ryan Murphy series “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story''. Kareem also narrated the audiobook version of Monica Byrne's HarperCollins time-traveling speculative fiction novel “The Actual Star.”
He has written multiple TV pilots and most recently co-wrote his first feature, “Counter Punched,” which he is planning to Direct. He is excited to have created “We Right Here” with his long-time friend and writing partner, Dominic Daniel.
As a writing duo, we are artists who want to make an impact. We want to inspire change and foster thought-provoking entertainment that speaks to the universality of the human condition. Ultimately, we believe that filmmaking can speak truths to people and create real life-changing art. With the submission of WE RIGHT HERE, we believe we can do just that.
