Director Biography - Celia Galan

Celia Galán is a writer/director from Barcelona who graduated from the Royal College of Art in London. Her short films have won awards at the Cannes Film Festival (Second Prize Cinéfondation for "Story of the Desert"), Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Chicago and Toronto, amongst others. She has been an Artist in Residence in Berlin (DAAD) and a Writer in Residence at the Cinéfondation from the Festival de Cannes, where she developed her feature film project "Rosita Guzmán is Alive", which participated at the Atelier de Cannes and became a European finalist for the Sundance/NHK International Filmmakers Award. In 2013 she co-founds CELOFAN, a production company of films and commercials.
