We Missed You

After not seeing his family for so long, Emilio decides to finally visit them. As the day approaches, things begin to take a sudden turn as soon as he arrives. His family is the same yet completely different from when he last saw them and he can’t exactly distinguish what's going on behind those dead eyes. Are they really glad to see Emilio again? Did they really miss him like they said? Or is there something else out of the ordinary going on within?

Director Biography - Juan Manuel Villegas

First Generation born, Mexican American filmmaker Juan Manuel Villegas is a 21 year old Actor, Writer and Director residing in San Bernardino California. Growing up, Juan was always fascinated by the cinematic arts and had hopes and aspirations of becoming an actor and future film director. After graduating high school, he became a full time student at SBVC where he ultimately joined the film program. After writing and directing “Beneath Her Sorrows” and pursuing his directorial debut, Juan’s courage and ambition to keep creating stories has only motivated and strengthen him to keep building his temple of work as a director in hopes of one day being able to bring more Latino representation to Hollywood and inspire others to strive and reach for their goals.
