We Forgive but We Don't Forget
The Paris Peace Agreements of 1991 formally ended Cambodia’s civil war, which followed the devastation of the Khmer Rouge genocide (1975-79). But what happens after the signing of such agreements? How is peace nurtured and carried forward? "We Forgive but We Don’t Forget" follows monks, genocide survivors, artists, educators, and community leaders in post-conflict Cambodia. Their stories reveal how peace is sustained through quiet, everyday, and local practices that rarely make the headlines but deeply shape life after conflict.
