Director Biography - Todd Selby

Todd Selby is a photographer, director, artist, author, and illustrator. His project, The Selby, offers an insider’s view of creative individuals in their personal spaces with an artist’s eye for detail. The Selby began in June 2008 as a website where Todd posted photo shoots he did of his friends in their homes. Requests quickly began coming in daily from viewers all over the world who wanted their homes to be featured on the site. The Selby’s website became so influential that top companies from around the world began asking to collaborate.

These projects have included ad campaigns and collaborations with Louis Vuitton, American Express, FENDI, Nike, Microsoft, Sony, Airbnb, Hennessy, Ikea, eBay, Heineken and a solo show and pop up shop at colette. Todd’s editorial projects have included a monthly home column in The Observer Magazine, a monthly fashion column in Le Monde’s M Magazine, and frequent contributions to Vogue, Architectural Digest France, Casa Brutus Japan and the New York Times T Magazine. In April 2017, Todd had his first solo museum show at Daelim Museum in Seoul, South Korea where his photographs, illustrations, dioramas and sculptures filled the entire four story museum for six months.

Before working on The Selby, Todd worked as a translator and Tijuana tour guide to the International Brotherhood of Machinists, a researcher into the California strawberry industry, a Costa Rican cartographer, a consultant on political corruption to a Mexican Senator, an art director at a venture capital firm, an exotic flower wholesaler, a Japanese clothing designer, and a vermicomposting entrepreneur.

Todd’s pastimes include going to the airport, eating four square meals a day and breaking his computers.

Writor's Bio/Statement:

Emily Huizenga is the lead video writer at Wayfair, the world’s biggest online home retailer. At the brand’s in-house ad agency, she concepts, writes, and art directs major campaigns including celebrity partner Kelly Clarkson. Emily has conceptualized “opportunities” for Kelly Clarkson to get in bed with an older couple, jump-scare a woman in a portable sauna, and ineptly knit in Gucci heels. Emily’s side projects include branding and marketing consulting for small organic farms in the greater Boston metro, developing arboretum prayer walks and being COO of donuts and coffee at her church’s hospitality ministry, designing logos and swag for bachelorette parties, irregularly writing a Substack, and trolling LinkedIn.

Producer's Bio:

Fatima Litim is a screenwriter and producer focusing on commercial, film and TV.

She immigrated to Boston from Algeria at the age of 6 when she learned the power of words and their influence. She graduated from Suffolk University with a MBA and a fiery passion to work in production after writing, directing, shooting and editing her first short film “Petals 925”. With over 13 years of experience in writing and producing content, her fascination with how people think defined her obsession with psychological thrillers, inspiring her award winning screenplays OPERATOR, INIQUITY and STITCH.

As founder of Dark Wonder Productions, Fatima’s focus on uncovering the psychology behind fascinating stories motivates her to craft the words that captivate audiences and leave them wondering why.
