Director Statement

We are all in need of intimacy. However, this can only truly exist on the other side of vulnerability(something that endless barriers can get in the way of).  Masculinity is one of these common barriers, promoting the idea that love is only for romantic relationships. When this happens, men miss out on the much-needed beauty and support of deep, trusting friendships. This film explores how this phenomenon plays out in an adolescent setting with an approach that is both honest and poetic.  This is a story that is very dear to me as it reflects the lessons I've learned from my closest friends.  They've taught me to trust and allow those who truly love me to help me endure difficult times.  They have taught me how deeply we all need to be both fully known and fully loved.  I hope that you will find inspiration to overcome the obstacles between you and emotional vulnerability.
