WHITE SUSTENANCE

Scarlette moves through a world that feels half-alive, haunted by memories of Ivy - the woman she once loved with reckless joy. In the quiet spaces of an empty metro station, a fleeting glimpse across a train platform shatters the fragile distance she's built between past and present.

Director Statement

As a queer filmmaker, my work is rooted in a deep need to tell stories that feel lived-in, vulnerable, and honest. I’m drawn to the quiet moments, glances, gestures, and silences that say everything words sometimes can’t. My films are about real life and real people, especially those whose experiences have often been overlooked or misunderstood.

Queer relationships, identity, and chosen family are central themes in my work, not just in their joy and celebration, but also in their complexity, their struggle, their beauty. I aim to create work that resonates with those who have rarely seen themselves represented fully on screen, and that invites others into a deeper understanding of the queer experience.

At the heart of it all, I’m telling stories that matter to me, and I hope they matter to others, too.
