Colin M. Smith is a first time director with his debut project "WAGON WHEEL". He has been studying in the BFA Acting program at University of North Carolina Greensboro for the past 3 years, and wanted to see what it was like on the directors side of the camera. His passion for creation and story telling is what prompted the original draft of the script, and is forever grateful that "WAGON WHEEL" is his step into the world of film making.
Ever since I was a kid and could understand the movies I was consuming, I can always remember thinking how I could make something look different then what I was seeing on the screen. Or I would find myself daydreaming of these crazy scenarios and characters, and looking back on it, what I was really doing in my young mind was directing. I just didn't know it. This project for me is a culmination of the entire archive of childhood experience directing within my brain. I'm very lucky I was able to make this, with everyone involved and I'll be the first to say, this will be the first of many.
