Geoffroy C. Dedenis is a French artist based in Paris. For the past ten years, he's been making videos, photos, collages and tapes. His movies have then been shown at numerous events accross Europe. In 2023 La Cinémathèque française included two of his shorts for its big summer event "L'Image des plaisirs, Sexpérimentaux".
Most of my creative activities combine cut-up techniques, détournement, remix, using sounds, pictures, texts, to design visions. My productions are tailored for their emotional impact and energy, without regard for any rules or mediums.
Most of my audiovisual productions are dealing with homosexual desire, love, happiness, emptiness and mania. I stare at the agressive aspects of lust and the everyday so-called reality people usually prefer to hide and forget. I dismantle raw material and trauma to compose new fragmented objects in which the sleazy fuses with the sacred and most important, beauty.
