Vernon's Perfect End
Merging weighty themes, such as grief, loneliness, and intolerance, Vernon's Perfect End, tells the story of one elderly man’s inability to cope with the loss of the wife he adored. Vernon’s early-stage dementia, coupled with his desperate need for companionship, leads to a bizarre choice of partners, and his latest soulmate is no exception. Vernon is caught red-handed after kidnapping Marina the Mermaid from a fairground ride. However, he can’t bear the thought of returning Marina to captivity and believes her rightful place is in the sea. But, when the time comes to say goodbye, Vernon realizes his life is not worth living without Marina.
