Director Biography - Chris Sarfin

CHRIS SARFIN is a director, producer, and writer with a sharp eye for immersive, detail-driven storytelling. His work fuses classic filmmaking techniques with modern style, always anchored by themes of resilience and hope that stick with audiences long after the credits roll.

Storytelling has been a part of Chris’s life since childhood, when he used a toy projector to bring his illustrated characters to life on the living room wall. After graduating from Hofstra University’s Film Studies & Production program, he jumped straight into Hollywood, starting at Paramount Pictures before joining the critically acclaimed production company Zadan/Meron Productions on the Universal Studios lot.

Chris helped develop a wide range of projects, from feature films and TV series to Broadway and live shows. Since then, he has contributed to over a hundred productions and collaborated with some of the most influential names in Hollywood across film, television, and music, while refining his own voice as a filmmaker.

Known for his precision and visual discipline, Chris often storyboards his projects and meticulously maps out every creative beat. He most recently directed, produced, and wrote the short film Scavenger.

For Chris, storytelling is more than entertainment. His goal is to create experiences that leave audiences walking out of the theater feeling better than when they walked in.

Director Statement

This bombastic film was inspired by a love of fantasy films that utilize practical effects. In my eyes, it's a film about gaining a new perspective and reconnection. I hope audiences can walk away from this journey with a deep appreciation for the quiet sacrifices loved ones make every day.
