Baha Festival, Celebrates in concept of fresh Water as color and Earth as Fertility. The new born of leaves flowers in the trees and plants are Bloomed. Baha means Blossom and Fagh means color, Falgun is a Month of Santali Calendar of Nature colors. Where after Shiva Ratri they celebrate and welcome the nature as a symbol of new Moon year and sign of custom rituals. Baha is the significance of the Tribal life with new beginning hope blessing in rights and reservation of Earth and Water after the full moon of Shiva Ratri.

Director Biography - Amitava Halder

DoB: 06/03/1962
Started Acting in play Since 1977.
Attend Many Drama and Film Workshops in Nandan And Academy for Direction and Script.
Work in Chitra Bani Studio for Film Editing.
Written the script for Short films Flaming Soul and Space Aroma, which are shown in 7th KSFF in 2010.
Own produced short film with Direction Bhalo Manush Based on Rabindranath Tagore Short Story, placed in 8th KSFF 2011.
Act in Philippines Radio Varitas with Play script, such as 'Seko Doito' based on the theme of Arsenic Effect and many more.
From 2006 working as a journalist in Private and Government Channels, make episodes in tourism for Doordarshan.
Parallelly start observing and thorough research on Folk Culture Tradition, collecting Datas of Folk Drama Thesis.
Take part in many Film and Featured Serials acting, Such As 2004 Shyam Bengal Direct Film 'Bose:The Forgotten Hero', shooted in Sadhinpur Birhum West Bengal.
Write and Direct More than 35 Plays and Drama, Specially the flying Drama in running Ganadevota Express Train Compartment,Perfomed on Plastic Hazards with minor cast, titled: 'Plastic er Astakur'
Work as a Sub Editor in Chitra Jagat Magazine.
Award winning Film Maker of Antyaja Kaal, a Documentary on The time travel of Folk Drama in 2022.
Award winning Film Maker of Bhalo Manus, a short film based on Dr. Rabindranath Tagore Short Story in 2022.

Director Statement

Virginity is natural, it's a color of life. If it maintain in proper why, life in planet can bring a healthy sustainable life. The structure and concept of preservation of life comes from Society, it's education and development, knowledge and order. Baha festival is the kind of Custom formation, which is adored and celebrated in tribal society. We research and framed the tradition with help of Santali Community, where the moon year concept is exposed in Color and happy approach, where the child psychology is groomed and bloomed, and teach the Virginity and respect naturally, in mode of adored and preserve the nature. The themes of Coloured life reviews the maturity and true aspect of real living.
