While 20 thousand people die of starvation a day in Africa alone, this number is 25 thousand per day worldwide ... But nobody cares about hunger. Even though hunger is not an issue for the rich, pandemic is. Because this virus can kill anyone regardless of class, it has managed to cause panic in every corner of the world. This proposition is conveyed in the movie "Vain" by taking up the indifference of today's people in an absurd way. The film includes the absurd reactions of a few friends, each more indifferent, to the absurd events during a robbery during the pandemic period. All precautions taken against coronavirus during a robbery, ignoring child labor and violence to women, make them ridiculous while lead us to think.

Director Biography - Doğukan Hazar İskenderoğlu

He was born in Ankara in 1988. Originally from Trabzon. He spent his childhood moving between Ankara and Trabzon because of his father's job. During his time in Trabzon, he listened to many tales from his grandparents who lived in the village. These tales that he listened to, reinforced his desire to write his own stories. He wrote many poems and stories. And he has never been a hardworking kid. But he got very successful in literature class. In 2006, he won the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema of Ankara University Communication Faculty. During his student years, he worked as a photographer, cameraman and director. He directed many award-winning short films and documentaries. But he never stopped writing stories and poetry. Today, he is the director of many documentaries and writes on national channels such as Savunma Sanatları, Yok Olmadan Keşfet, Bir Dövüşçünün Dünya Maceraları, Yiyeceğin Serüveni...
