VOTE
Hari Master belongs to Harivandanpur Village. He is a well-respected educator. He has 2 sons, Viplab and Sangram. His wife has passed away. Both sons take after their father's ideologies. Their bond is like that of Ram and Laxman. Both of them excelled at their studies as well as farming activities. The elder son, Viplab, is a youth leader in the village. Politics hasn't torn apart this village like it has some other villages. However, some people continue to make efforts to create divisions amongst the villagers for their own gains. The two brothers eventually go on to marry their respective wives who happen to belong opposing political parties. Following his retirement, Hari Master's health deteriorates and he becomes physically incapacitated. A wedge is drawn between the two brothers by a scheming group of people who want to divide the villagers for their own self-interest. They take turns in attending to their father, where he stays 1 month in one brother's home and the next month in the other brother's home. A battle ensues between the two brothers during election time as to which party gets to secure the old man's vote, only to end in a tragic twist resulting in Hari Master's sudden death. The brothers make amends with each other after this but not before learning a bitter tasting lesson.
