Director Biography - Vikram Kale

As a boy in India, Writer-Director Vikram Kale jumped from his bed after watching 'The Terminator' and exclaimed, "I want to go to that magical place." Little did he know it was the beginning of a lifetime in filmmaking and that he was to come to the magical place called America.

After working in India in TV, advertising and Bollywood for some years, Vikram completed his film studies at UCLA, and worked for maverick filmmaker Roger Corman as lead editor on several genre films while honing his skills and talents in all aspects of filmmaking -- creative and business.

Vikram is an avid explorer of the spiritual and mystical teachings of the East and the West, which he likes to integrate into his writing and directing, often with female characters at the center of his stories.

Vikram's faith-based short film, Turning Point, a modern-day relationship story between an atheist and a believer was nominated for the best faith-based film at the Burbank International Film Festival and the Canadian International Faith and Family Film Festival. It is being developed into a feature film, among many other projects.

Before filmmaking, his first love was drawing and painting. Whether he's editing, writing, directing, drawing or painting, Vikram is fueled by the same desire at heart -- to tell stories and entertain people.
