Director Biography - Jonathan Wilhelmsson

Jonathan Wilhelmsson is a Swedish director, cinematographer and editor. He has studied at Sydney Film School where he in 2017 made his thesis film ‘Waltzing Tilda’, a post-apocalyptic comedy about the last woman on earth. Since then, he has worked with everything from commercials and documentary series to continued work within short film as well as feature film.

Director Statement

I made this film because I wanted to make a short and sweet sci-fi comedy that dealt with existentialism in a lighthearted and hopefully comforting way. The idea of a woman dealing with the fact that our universe is a simulation not even worthy of a proper name seemed like a great set-up for that. We had a lot of fun making this and I hope you have fun watching it. Thanks for your time!
