Unknown Being

An Alien comes to earth in human form, at the dead of night he follows strange sounds which leads to him interrupting a private moment in a public space.

Beginning as a light, an Unknown Being morphs into human form near an ocean somewhere on a rainy evening. It's not clear where he's from or how he finds his perfectly folded clothes. He is a mysterious figure who can pull carrots out of the ground when he's hungry. Hoping a ride on a train, and later a bus, he emerges in the streets of Vancouver, looking for a connection. Lost, cold, and alone – he reaches out, but finds it difficult to find a friend. Instead, in the dead of night he interrupts a couple who are having sex.
Played by Bijan Karim, Unknown Being interacts with the real world blending documentary and fiction scenes seamlessly creating a social commentary of Vancouver's cold and unwelcome exterior. Exploring the view of an outsider, Unknown reveals the cracks someone can fall into especially when he acts outside of the norm. The harmless being puts people off with his confidence, curiosity, and openness to the world and shares his own views on life in the process
