Mother. Daughter. Granddaughter. Three women isolated in their new house, in their new country, far from everything they called home.
With grandma losing her mind to Alzheimer, the task of migrating from their crises-stricken country proves harder than expected.
If we are our house, our family, our job, our county, our memories…
Who are we, when we lose everything we’ve been?

Director Statement

During the pandemic quarantine, we started exploring our virtual stage, adapting our repertory to a new format. As Venezuelans fleeing our country’s debacle, we encounter thousands of fellow Venezuelans living hard, redefining realities in many countries around the world (almost six million Venezuelans had fled the country). The combination of the pandemic and the migration, two hard pills to swallow on their own, furthermore, together, we workshopped this play by Venezuelan author Monica Montañés, with three actors, each on a different city and country, and put them together on the same virtual apartment. We invited 312 people from 19 cities in 10 countries around the world to witness their performances via Zoom and we captured the whole collective experience on smartphones on each city. This is the result of this experiment on the loss of identity, isolation and the possibilities of reconnecting and rebuilding ourselves.
