Unheimlich
"Without a plot, without protagonist, this contemplative video clip, frozen in stasis, is packed with mystery, ambiguous environment, mude offscreen, slow mood and stranded alienation. The components of Contemporary Contemplative Cinema.
What a fluke to capture this instant! What an eye to frame this out of context! What a patience to film it entirely!"
(Benoit Rouilly - Unspoken Cinema Blog on Contemporary Contemplative Cinema- France)
Unheimlich is part of a series of “One-Shot-Video-Poems” filmed in 2015 by Arthur Caria.

Having worked with music and languages for most of his life (as a musician-teacher-writer), when Arthur Caria entered the sphere of film writing in 2011, he naturally did it via videopoetry. And, as he considers himself a chronicler in his own music and literature, he naturally embraced the videopoetic chronicle. That's what he feels comfortable doing, and where he's been getting gentle reviews and honorable mentions, mainly in the field of Contemplative Film and Minimalism. Arthur Caria holds a PhD in Languages at UFBA - Salvador, Brazil. He is also a musician and author. (alittleballinmotion.bandcamp.com & surrmenage.com)
