Young reporter, August Gray, meets a strange, naked man, stumbling along a Nebraska road. Picking the man up, he finds himself drawn into an amazing new life. For the man, known as Rygus, is immortal. Each time he dies, he soon regenerates into a new species of animal, with only limited control. Now, a century out of date with human society, Rygus must rely on August to adapt, while August wants the greatest story of all time. What neither realizes, is they are about to be drawn into an ancient, world-spanning conspiracy, one that threatens the freedom of humanity.
