Un/Write

Co-Director Lara Renaud, a practiced painter, draftsman, and efficient eclectic animator creates art with passion, ambition, and the need to create meaningful work. With her developed craft and studies of fine artistry, animation, and cinematography. She creates her unique style combined with her passion and experience of the world. Based in Portland Oregon, Lara freelances animation projects for various clientele across the country. She is also pushing her ambitions towards working in a professional animation studio. Applying her adaptive art skills she creates movies, shows, advertisements, and other commercial work, alongside personal and professional 2D, 3D, digital, and analog forms of art. She continuously works on deeper learning, understanding, and developing a multitude of skills across various mediums of art and craft. Lara attended Pratt M.W.P. in Utica NY, and graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art. She is currently looking forward to collaborating and working with more artists, writers, and contributors to make more art that influences the world in beautiful, impactful, diversifiable, and positive ways.

Animator and Sound Designer Quinn Kelly was born in Vancouver, Canada. He was a student filmmaker working toward his BFA at Pacific Northwest College of Art at the time of working on Un/Write, and has since graduated. He specializes in animation, comics, editing, and sound production.

Co-Director, collaborator, poet and narrator Fiona Tinwei Lam has published three collections of poetry and a children’s book. Her poems have been featured in Best Canadian Poetry (2010, 2020) as well as in The Best of the Best Canadian Poetry Anniversary Edition (2017) and thrice with BC’s Poetry in Transit, as well as in award-winning poetry videos made in collaboration with filmmakers that have screened worldwide. Shortlisted for the City of Vancouver Book Prize and other awards, her work has been included in over 40 anthologies. She is Vancouver's Poet Laureate 2022-2024.
