Irene is a London based filmmaker, she was born and raised in Mexico with an Icelandic background. After a BA in film studies in Paris (2006-2009) she enrolled in the London Film School in 2011, at the LFS she specialized in cinematography and directing. Her graduation film Deserts (2015) has been screened at international film festivals such as the Reykjavik International Film Festival or Fiktiva Film Festival where it was awarded the Jury Award. She works as a director of photography and camera assistant on independent productions in London and abroad.
