Two Elephants

When Kay the elephant arrived at an Indiana zoo in 1929, she was welcomed with a parade. When tragedy struck, she was labeled a killer, traded and forgotten.

Bunny the elephant lived up to her gentle name. She lived for decades as a lone elephant until a sanctuary offered her a new home and elephant companions. The community was divided as it debated what was best for Bunny.

“Two Elephants” reveals universal lessons about elephants in captivity and reminds us that every elephant has a story.
