BEK is a smart, experienced, and cold-blooded professional, considered one of the best in high-profile security. Returning to Kazakhstan after years of working abroad, Bek becomes the head of security for an influential mafia boss and wannabe politician, BAYLAT. Bek sets up a security system modelled after the best global security agencies, replacing staff and curtailing bribes among security personnel. Soon, he gains Baylat's trust by preventing an assassination attempt.
But Bek soon realise that he had become the devil's own guard. Baylat tortures people, rapes minors, and eliminates journalists and competitors. Bek disregards these atrocities. He is mindlessly doing his job. It is his professional duty. There's little Bek can do to change these things. Moreover, the potential act of betrayal puts Bek’s closest relatives at death risk.
Bek learns of yet another assassination hit planned on Baylat. This one is different: all he knows about the assassin is that they are smart, inventive, and their identity is skillfully hidden. All that is known is that the assassin's codename is FOX. At Bek's demand, a captured man who ordered the hit on Baylat sends Fox an order to cancel the operation. But Fox ignores it.
