Experiencing Interruptions?

Triptych (version 4 :16 minutes)

The video is part of the "Colors and Shapes" project, which includes several videos and photographic series.
The video is structured as a triptych: three distinct panels display visual dynamics that evolve in parallel, yet resonate with each other in terms of composition, rhythm, and color usage. Each panel presents a flow of abstract forms generated by moving pigments, resembling smoke or colored liquids that expand, overlap, and transform. The effect is both immersive and dynamic.
The primary subjects are colors and shapes—intersecting hues and flowing, curved lines. Warm tones like red, orange, and deep yellow intertwine with cooler shades of blue, violet, and magenta, blending in ever-changing ways and generating constant visual tension. Here, color is not merely an aesthetic element but a vehicle for transformation: viewers observe an ongoing process, not a static form.
This video is part of a broader exploration of transformation, fluidity, and becoming—central themes that also appear in my other projects, such as the video and photographic series "Clouds." In all these works, change is the central element: space is not conceived as a stable container but as a field of shifting forces.
The video was created with the help of AI; we now have tools that allow us to produce images and videos that transcend traditional physical and conceptual limits. AI offers the possibility to shape, distort, and transform images in previously unimaginable ways, opening new paths for artistic expression and enabling a unique fusion of human creativity and computational power.

Director Biography - Giorgio Gerardi

I am not interested in representing an object as it appears in reality, and often the final image is very different from the initial subject. I prefer to manipulate the original file to create images with shapes and colors that appeal to me.
Around the age of twenty, I approached the study of the History of Art, as an autodidact, and I began my personal photographic research. I got fascinated by the artistic Avant-garde of the late Nineteenth and early Twentieth centuries, and also the artistic currents of Minimalism and Conceptual Art.
All these artistic phenomena attracted me mostly because they focused on the analysis of the visual medium, than to the staging of reality and its representation, as the history of Art had instead accustomed us.
In recent years, I have focused on everyday objects and integrated AI into my practice, creating a number of video and photographic series. I have also produced numerous short films, composing their soundtracks, several of which have been awarded at festivals. My work is published on my website and has been featured in a number of physical and online events.
