About Simon Boswell
Simon Boswell, a pioneering force in film music, has shaped the soundtracks of over 150 films, leaving an indelible mark on horror, fantasy, sci-fi, drama, thriller and beyond. From composing in the styles of Chopin and Mozart at just eight years old to mastering rock guitar, Boswell’s diverse musical foundation set the stage for his dynamic career.
His journey into film scoring began when horror maestro Dario Argento invited him to compose for Phenomena, blending his music with the iconic sounds of Goblin. This pivotal moment launched Boswell into the heart of horror and fantasy cinema, where his in-novative fusion of electronic and orchestral elements has become legendary. Scores for films like LORD OF ILLUSIONS, HARDWARE, and HACKERS showcase his ability to craft apocalyptic soundscapes that resonate deeply with audiences.
His lush orchestral compositions for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Photographing Fairies, and Jason and the Argonauts highlight his versatility. Collaborations with renowned directors such as Danny Boyle (Shallow Grave), Álex de la Iglesia (Perdita Durango), and Tim Roth (The War Zone) further cement his status as a master composer, contributing scores across genres - and more to come!
