Tribal Zone

The Ashantis and Ewes are two major ethnic groups in Ghana with a deep history of soci-economic and political influence however there exists a toxic animosity for one another fuelled by prejudice and that has lasted for decades and which often rears its ugly head in love relationships. Most Ewes think the Ashantis are condescending of them.

In Tribal Zone, Mawuli, an Ewe and an aspiring doctor falls in love with Afia, a pure-bred asante. Soon, Afia’s father becomes the threat to their relationship when he learns of Mawuli’s ethnic identity. Will Afia fight for her love at the risk of loosing her family? Will Mawuli give up on the woman he loves dearly?
