'Tracy' is a new slant on grief. Using a comedic tone, I wanted to cover the subject of grief in an eye-opening way. For instance, we see how it can affect people deeply even though they might seem aloof.
I also thought it would add some originality to the subject, which is usually covered with a somber tone. The film reflects the quirky personality of the main character, and this sets it apart from more standard comedies.
