Toward A Futureland
Toward A Futureland is about the With/Out - ¿Borders? convening that took place at the Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership (ACSJL). The convening featured land activists from across the globe. Each of the activists that were present approaches social movement work understanding 1) land as essential to Indigenous sovereignty movements, 2) land as contested through the forced dislocation of people within and outside the US, and 3) land as strength and nurturance. With this theme, the ACSJL contends that this intimate convening based on global struggles for land allows us to deeply examine the commodities and consumption of space as well as the reach and watch of colonial and corporate power.
