Director Statement

This film, at its core, explores the fragile and extraordinary simplicity of childhood creativity—and how a mother’s love can serve as both catalyst and compass for an artist’s evolution. As I navigated the tension between youthful imagination and the expectations of adulthood, I became interested in how faith—where we place it, and how it shapes us—becomes central to that transition.

Khamron invests his entire sense of possibility in his mother. Her presence anchors his confidence, his worldview, and his art. When that foundation disappears, he begins to unravel, confronting not only grief but the destabilizing question of what remains when the source of one’s faith is gone. His personal crisis reflects a broader conversation about the nature of artistic impulse: whether creativity arises purely from an internal spark or is nurtured by forces far greater than ourselves.

Ultimately, the film argues that a mother’s love is more than an emotional bond—it is the architecture upon which a life, and often an artist’s voice, is built.
