Toska
Flavio, immersed in the sadness of nostalgia and regret, faces his daily loneliness, seeking solace in the solitary ritual of smoking a cigarette. Each puff becomes a journey back in time, an immersion in a parallel dimension that brings to light the moments shared with Alberto.
The warmth of those hugs, the echo of shared laughter and the tears that bathed their cheeks become present, as if they had just happened. Every blurry image that surfaces, every fleeting glance that materializes and every whispered word that resonates reveal the fragile nature of human balance and the profound gravity of the choices that shaped their relationship.
The smoke fades into the air, carrying with it the melancholy and bitterness that envelops Flavio. But in that very smoke lies a strange consolation, a sense of acceptance that begins to germinate in his heart. He accepts the end of the relationship, with all its painful consequences, and launches himself into a new future, leaving behind what has been and opening his arms to the unknown that awaits him.

Born with a burning passion for the seventh art, Tommaso Barba embarked on his educational journey at the Griffith Academy of Cinema and Television, earning a degree in Directing and Screenwriting in 2021.
In 2023, he broadened his artistic horizons by immersing himself in the course "Neverending Stories: Writing a Series" at the prestigious Holden School, thus enriching his creative and narrative repertoire. That same year, he completed a master's degree in Screenwriting at the renowned Civic School of Cinema "Luchino Visconti," solidifying his skills in the field of cinematic writing.
He didn't confine himself to theory but put his skills into practice by directing and writing impactful short films. Works like "Dall'altro lato" (2022), "Toska" (2023), and "Camilla" (2024) not only showcase his technical mastery but also reflect the emotional and conceptual depth of his storytelling.
His dedication and commitment are also evident in his professional experiences, from collaborations with Friends Italia, where he undertook a Production internship and directed a social ad for SMART, to his role in the Secretariat and Organization of the MoliseCinema Film Festival, where he demonstrated the ability to organize and manage successful film events.
He has already received significant recognition in the international film scene. His short films have garnered numerous prestigious awards, including the Best Directing award at the AnimArt Film Festival for "Dall'altro lato" (2022) and over 50 international awards for "Toska" (2023), including the Best European Director at the Hollywood on the Tiber Film Awards and the Best European Screenplay at the Ibizia Film Production, just to name a few.
