"Tomorrow's Gone" is a captivating documentary that spans nearly two decades, following the intertwined journeys of two artists. In the early 2000s, journalist and musician Boaz Goldberg began documenting his friend Gabi Abudraham, a dreamy young man from the periphery of Beit She'an with an obsession for Elvis, a fascination for mystical teachings, and virtuoso musical abilities.
The film chronicles Abudraham's transformation into the eccentric character Charlie Megira, embarking on a stormy musical journey that takes him to large stages in the United States. As Abudraham struggles for worldwide artistic recognition, he simultaneously battles inner demons that he attempts to silence through his larger-than-life alter ego.
Parallel to Abudraham's story, the documentary also explores Goldberg's own journey as a filmmaker. Over the course of nearly 20 years, Goldberg grapples with his personal demons in his quest to complete the film, offering a meta-narrative about the creative process and the challenges of documentary filmmaking.
"Tomorrow's Gone" is a profound exploration of artistry, identity, and the blurred lines between persona and self. It examines what happens when an artist crosses the boundaries he has set for himself, and the impact this has on both the creator and the documenter.

Boaz Goldberg (1974) is a documentary filmmaker, a Musician and a Journalist. He worked as a music journalist for more than a decade ("Zman Tel Aviv", "City Mouse", "The City", "Israel Today") and meticulously covered the alternative music scene in Israel. Goldberg later had several editing and directing jobs in many television programs. He dabbled in painting, photography and recording music. All of this led him into the world of documentary filmmaking. Tomorrow's Gone, a full feature film about the life and death of Charlie Megira, is his debut feature documentary.
