Titus and Mirabella
Titus & Mirabella is a romantic comedy about a Romanian guy and a German girl, who aren’t in their first flush of youth anymore, who are still virgins and have never ever had a romantic relationship.
After their best friends set them up for a blind date at a restaurant on a cruise ship, their date takes a crazy turn when Titus accidentally orders a salad containing fish for both of them. Mirabella, who is a vegetarian and a fierce environmentalist gets a panic attack about having potentially eaten fish and has to be transported to a medical station where she is given sedatives and put on a drip.
By the time she’s recovered and they’re about to go home, they realize that the ship has left the harbor.
The duo is about to face some pretty challenging and awkward situations throughout their journey on board: from having to face their phobias, to the ship almost sinking in the north of Europe, to fighting environmentalist pirates.

I am a Romanian actress, writer and director born in a small town in Transylvania. In 2013 I finished my Bachelor in acting in Cluj, Romania at the Babes-Bolyai University and immediately after that I pursued another further study in acting for two years at the Athanor Academy, in Germany. While still studying in Germany, I landed my first lead role in a German independent film, portraying a young woman, who fell victim to human trafficking. The film won an award for the Best Mid-Length Film at the Selb Film Festival, in Germany and is now being streamed on both Amazon and Pantaflix.
I've worked as an actor since, both in Germany and the UK and have been a part of productions such as Schicksale, on SAT 1 or Aktenzeichen XY- ungelöst, on ZDF, in Germany or Guest by Finn Callan and Overcoming Mars by Michaela Rihova in the UK. My part in Guest has brought me a nomination as Best Actress at The Dead Of Night Film Festival, in Liverpool.
In the summer of 2016, I shot my first romantic comedy, as both a lead actress, scriptwriter and a director. The film was released in 2020 and has been screened on a number of International Film Festivals such as Portland Comedy Film Festival, LA Femme Film Festival, Austin Comedy Short Film Festival and Bucharest Awards. The film won the award for Best Romance Short at the Lady Filmmakers Festival, in Beverly Hills, Best Comedy at Oniros Film Awards, in Italy and the Silver Award at the Spotlight Short Film Awards, in Atlanta, Georgia. I also got nominated together with Axel Moustache for Best Acting Duo at Oniros Film Awards. In 2020, I got the award for Best Actress in a Short Film at the Cyrus Film Festival in Toronto, Canada for my role in Titus & Mirabella. The film is being distributed by Shorts TV and will premiere on the 20th April 2021 on TV in the USA.
I think that this story, about a not very much discussed topic (of relationship virgins), would on the one hand help dissolve the taboo surrounding it and help people open up about it, and make the ones who go through something similar feel less alone.
On the other hand, it would also raise awareness for the people who are not familiar with this problem and maybe make them more empathic towards the ones who have to deal with this issue.
Also at the end of the day, this series is a comedic, action-driven, romantic story that, I think, we all need after almost two incredibly tough years.
I think the story deals with a serious issue, in a light matter, in a way that also offers escapism from the harsh everyday reality that we live in at the moment.
