Timeline: A Short Film
The emotional journey of a collegiate basketball player whose career is cut short by a chronic knee injury is explored in the reflective short film Timeline. The film follows her journey from being recruited from a small mountain town to the highs of early seasons and, ultimately, to the pain of medical retirement, blending symbolic imagery with documentary-style footage. Timeline depicts the gradual collapse of a dream and the perseverance required to find purpose when time runs out through sensitive images, interviews, and personal video diaries. At its core, the film is not just about basketball, but about identity, loss, and the enduring truth that it’s bigger than the game.

I'm a first-time filmmaker, multimedia artist, and former college athlete based in California. I studied communication and psychology at Fresno Pacific University, where I also played basketball and worked in sports media designing graphics, creating highlight videos, and eventually discovering how powerful visual storytelling can be.
Timeline is my directorial debut and a deeply personal project. It reflects my experience with a career-ending injury and the emotional process of letting go of a dream I had chased my whole life. Through a mix of documentary-style footage and symbolic visuals, I wanted to capture not just the loss, but the quiet strength it takes to keep moving forward.
