I'm an aspiring writer/director with a passion for telling stories that alienate the familiar and make the alien familiar. I have 20 years experience in the movie-making business having previously been an animator/previz designer on films including "Lord of the Rings", "Harry Potter" and "Hellboy II".
I'm presently lecturing (and continuing to learn) film making whilst attempting to develop film projects in collaboration with other exciting film makers. I am keen to collaborate on my current screenplays with other professionals and hopefully bring them to the screen.
I'm currently working with a community animation group called "Foam Digtal" that works with lecturers, school and university students and the wider community.

This animated short film is a combined lecturer, student and community project run out of the University of Portsmouth in the UK that utilizes the Unreal game engine. It forms part of larger feature film project currently in production called "Stina & the Wolf": https://stinaandthewolf.net/
As a screenwriter and filmmaker I’m fascinated by the spaces in between dreams and waking. I want to explore how these spaces can become a place to tell stories and experience ideas in a way that can plumb the depths of a viewer’s psyche.
We all dream and inhabit the world of surrealism and symbolism every night. I want to translate this experience through evocatively visual and emotional storytelling, exploring tales that are at once universal and at the same time, strange and unique. I want to alienate the familiar and make the alien familiar.
Inspired by writers such as Kelly Link, and Kurt Vonnegut, and film makers like David Lynch and Guillermo del Toro, I want take magical realism off the page, and onto the screen.
