Director Statement

I’ve fallen in love many times. Sometimes it lasted years, sometimes just weeks. But each time, love left a mark — painful, yet transformative. Over time, I realized it’s more than emotion; it’s a force that shakes us, guides us, and brings us closer to who we are. Three Weeks emerged from this realization—as a way to reflect on the nature of love and to say thank you to it.

Three Weeks is built on a unique concept, offering a glimpse behind the curtain at those who orchestrate love for us. It is a blend of genres and personal obsessions—a romantic fantasy disguised as a crime buddy movie, mixing touches of art and pop culture. It is a bittersweet story, much like life itself.

What began as a short film grew into something more — a proof of concept for a feature-length script I’ve written. It is a story about modern-day cupids, the unseen threads between people, and the quiet, irreversible ways love can transform who we are. Creating the feature has become my goal; Three Weeks is the first step toward it.
