Three Wishes

This is a "lack of love" story. Everyone wants to love and be loved but reality always backfires. The three girls in the film have different origin families and growth experiences. However, they have the same social identity, "left-behind children". The three girls are played by the same actress. These three seemingly independent characters form a picture scroll of contemporary Chinese society with Oriental meaning.
The story is interwoven by two characters, Xia Tian and Dong Ai, played by the same girl. The two characters and the story are independent and interactive. Xia Tian used to be a left behind child, but her childhood experience of sexual abuse gave her another understanding of love. After the death of her grandfather, she found a strange parent she had never met, hoping to meet her three wishes at the adult ceremony. It seems ordinary, but for Xia Tian, it represents nurturing, accompanying and growing up. But in the end, the accident happened
Dong AI's father is forced to go into exile because of her excessive works, and Cheng song is the only person she can trust. On the eve of the wedding, the fiance proposes to Dong AI's best friend. Dong AI's desire for love completely collapses. She will restart her life in her own way
Dong Ai and Xia Tian appear in the same space at the same time. Their stories are different, but their fate is the same. They are the phenomenon and symbol of this society, just like two rivers that never intersect, and finally return to the endless sea. The story creates a sense of magic by means of the same time and space, and creates a projection relationship between magic and reality by using the characters' real life and surreal fate metaphor.

Weng Yu was graduated from the Experimental art studio of Central Academy and Beijing Film Academy, majoring in oil painting during his study period, and has a unique personal interpretation of the eastern aesthetics. He has been engaged in literary creation for many years and has written many books and screenplays.
As a director his film aesthetics has a strong personality. His contemporary works of art have been exhibited many times in China and aboard. Contemporary art is the exploration of life, and learning and film are the exploration of society and the world.

He has been a course lecturer and keynote speaker in Beijing Film Academy，LuXun Academy of Fine Arts，Shandong University Of Arts，Communication University of China，etc。
