Director Biography - Victoria Mellot

Victoria was born and raised in Antibes, south of France, a few miles away from Cannes Film Festival she used to dream about every year.
After spending 2 years working in Montreal at the age of 20, she decided to pursue her passion for acting in an intensive training at Method Acting Center, Paris.
As she was starting to bloom as an actress, she soon felt the need to share her stories, her own vision and the writings she had been secretly working on for years her. In 2022, she directed her first short film, Thought of the day, a psychological thriller inspired by the experience of grief and the consequences of self-isolation.

Director Statement

For my first short film, my main objective was to raise awareness about depression and the consequences of self-isolation. In that sense, I wanted to surround myself with people who were informed and sensitive to mental health issues.
The crew was mostly feminine, as these girls happened to the best suited for the job; and I strongly believe women should support each other in this industry.
