Sadık (40) is an officer who does errands in the municipality. He is not valued at all, both at work and at home, and cannot express himself. But apart from all this, there is a place where Sadık finds himself; football fields in the neighborhoods…
Sometimes during lunch breaks at work and sometimes before arriving home after work, he suddenly rushes into street matches and delivers justice, relying on the authority he gets from the referee costume he hides under his suit, the whistle and the cards he hides in his pocket. He’s like a superhero. The children playing football have also accepted Sadık as a real referee.

Director Biography - Omer Capoglu

He was born in Trabzon in 1981. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education in Trabzon, he entered Yıldız Technical University Electrical Engineering Department
in 1998 and graduated in 2005. During his education, he worked as an actor in both university and private theaters.
He started his master's degree in Istanbul Bilgi University Cinema and Television Master's Program in 2008. He made his debut in the cinema in 2015 with the short film "A Short Film About Wong Kar Wai". The film was screened in many national and international festivals. He continued his production work with the feature-length documentary film "My Country till I Return", which was screened in 2019. He is currently producing, directing and screenwriting.

Director Statement

People often think that life is not fair. Economic distributions, merit, love and many more are never balanced. I have always been intrigued by the public's reaction to injustice, in chorus and
loudest at football matches, especially through the referee. Why do we react so much to injustice in football, is life so fair?
In fact, everyone is a "superhero" in their own world. The stuckness experienced in all areas of life pushes the person to create a special situation in which “he/she will find justice or distribute it”. Those who cannot make their voices heard in business and family life create a space for themselves where their decisions are considered important. And every chance he gets, he escapes to this area where he takes on the role of "strong and fair man".
The expectations and weaknesses of the human being; the questioning of the idealized values; the dilemma he experiences when he is in power when he is not ready, are worth thinking about.
