Andreas Brüggemann (left, age 42) works for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and is a photographer.
Stefan Nitzsche (right, age 45) is a freelance UX/UI designer, digital strategist, musician and photographer.
When they met Andreas was 5 and Stefan was 8, it’s a life-long friendship. “This Is What I Want to Do” is their first film.
(The guy in the middle of the photo is their producer, composer, and mixing/mastering engineer Nicolas Schuele.)
Through Marc's (our protagonist’s) story, we want to show the unexpected power of passion and individual pursuit. It’s a small story about one person’s passion project but this project has a huge impact on people all over the world. We want to inspire people with this film to follow their hearts and do something meaningful in their life.
Initially we set out to make a documentary about the conference alone. But after one year of working on the film COVID hit and everything changed. We then focused on the person behind the conference while he went through a very tough time.
