This Is Real Love
Longline: Two painters quarrel over a secret painting and a mutual love interest.
Synopsis: "This Is Real Love" is a non-linear dark comedy. The central events revolve around a casual gathering between two male painters and their female acquaintance, Amanda. Although the gathering begins innocuously enough, tension gradually builds beneath the surface, creating a sense of discomfort. During the conversation, a few lines trigger one of the nameless painter's descent into a claustrophobic and increasingly abstract nightmare. The painter becomes irrationally angry with his roommate (painter 2), accusing him of trying to see his secret painting, without permission. As the painter's narcissistic rampage reaches its psychedelic climax, it becomes clear that his anger stems from more than just a desire to protect his art.

Joseph Salvatore is a 22-year-old filmmaker, as well as a student of cinema and its history. He began his work at the age of 16, when he wrote, shot, directed, and edited a feature-length film called "Silently Controlled." During high school, he dedicated two years to this project, honing his skills in numerous aspects of film production.
In addition to his own projects, Salvatore has also worked as the editor for a WWII documentary commissioned by the US embassy in France. This experience expanded his expertise and allowed him to collaborate with others in the industry.
Despite the challenges that come with making films, Joseph is committed to the process and hopes to continue creating for the rest of his life, regardless of financial success. He is driven by a love for the art form and a desire to execute his ideas.
I hope to live up to the responsibility that comes with owning a movie camera.
