Where does filmmaking fit into this long list of items? Well, it doesn't. Filmmaking is what is underlying... What ties all these interests together. It is the reason I love a lot of these things. A beautiful medium to see the world in a new light. Seeing anything and everything with a sense of possibility... A possible Idea... A possible film.

Director Statement

Our film, Thiruttu VCD, is a culmination of multiple kinds of efforts and energies coming together at the right time and place. It was a rather interesting process for me to get this to happen, and at every stage, it felt like the whole project was going to collapse, right from the inception of the idea.

I mean this in the lightest way possible, but the role of "director" involves literally anything and everything except JUST the process of direction. Right from begging people around me to be a part of this film, as writers, as directors, and as actors... To get people to watch it and give feedback once it's done. "Beggar" might be a term more fit for this role.

Nevertheless, Thirutu VCD is a film made with a lot of passion, a lot of fear, a lot of learning and most importantly... a lot of fun!
