Jason Labuda is a multi award-winning filmmaker living in Baltimore. His credits include writer and director of Mirror, Pasta Again?, The Cost of Living, The Hand That Feeds, The Last House on the Block, and There is Something in my House, as well as director of photography on White Oxygen, In The Wings, Freedom Walk, and King JeongJo. His films center around universal themes of liberation and social justice.
This is a film about media manipulation, declining media literacy, and the government's preferred response to social blights—teach the public to fear so the government can remove by force without much backlash. Inspired by California and New York City's campaign of destroying homeless encampments in 2020, as well as more recent events.
