The miracle of the fish duplication

Pedro Castro González, born in Mexico City in 1984, is a Multidisciplinary Artist who’s work has been recognised across Visual Arts, Cinematography and Design.
He studied for a degree in Design and Visual Communication at UNAM. Before completing his studies he started working for a production studio specialising in special effects for films and advertisement. In his first year of work he won a prize for the best animated advert.

“He was a teacher at the ‘Faro de Oriente’ school for 7 years where he founded an animation workshop. Pedro has won awards for his work at a number of Cinema Festivals, he has been commissioned to created specialist pieces and is sought after by well known brands to create works for their publicity campaigns. He has also been invited to speak about his experiences and vision in a variety of Art and Design spaces.

His work is focused on rethinking and updating spiritual concepts in everyday life. In his Art Pedro reflects on existence, life and creation from an artistic, philosophical and scientific approach.

The pieces that this Master creates are born from a mixture of influences and subjects. He combines Symbolic Art, Surrealism, Dadaism, Pop and Conceptual art. The Artist himself defines his work as: Aesthetic expression, a cumulation of dream scapes en quantum contexts that reveal true absolutes in symbols of the infinite. These cosmic intrigues presented through collage, film and painting are the representations of ideas that appear to the Artist throughout his life. As Pedro himself says, his works are like “snapshots of existence”.

Pedro still lives in Mexico City where he continues to create and develop projects in Art, Design and Advertising.
