The last people of Chernobyl 2
"The last people of Chernobyl 2" tells a story about people that to this day live in the Chernobyl exclusion zone. The zone was created after the disaster in 1986. Most of them live in wooden cottages with no running water and sometimes with no electricity in almost completely abandoned villages. Despite harsh conditions they don't want to leave. "I was born here, and here I shall die" is what they often say.

I wanted to show the bizzarity and rawness of living in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, but also share the sad and powerful stories of those who decied to stay. We traveled to Chernobyl, not only to tell the world about those kind old folks, but also to help them in any way we could.
