The Path

Set in the forests above Srebrenica in July 1995, “Staza” (“The Path”) follows two teenage brothers, Adem and Hamza, as they flee through the woods during the genocide. Wounded and exhausted, younger brother Adem urges Hamza to leave him behind in order to survive.
Through a symbolic journey of loss and resilience, “Staza” pays tribute to the thousands who walked the deadly forest path—and the many who never reached safety.

Director Biography - Emina Gabeljić

Emina Gabeljić was born on September 12, 2007 in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a valedictorian of the Elementary School “Grivice”, Banovići for the school year 2021/2022.
She is currenly enrolled in the fourth grade of secondary electrical engineering school at the high school "Mješovita srednja škola Banovići".
Outstanding results in filmmaking:
2nd place at the country's documentary film competition (Festival of Secondary Technical and Vocational Schools of Bosnia and Herzegovina) 2024.
1st place at the country's documentary film competition (Festival of Secondary Technical and Vocational Schools of Bosnia and Herzegovina) 2025.
