Director Biography - Kasia Damulewicz

She graduated with a BA degree in Film, Television, and Theater Art Organisation Production at Film School in Lodz (Poland) in 2013.

Between 2008 and 2017 she developed proven experience as a Production Assistant of budgets managing up to £100k and creating call sheets for up to 160 team and crew members. Additionally, she gained experience as a DOP and camera assistant in many indie music films and short features. She has an experience as a teacher of film production lectures for children from childcare homes and other charities as well.

Since moved to UK in 2015 she experienced working for theatres as First Assistant Director and Personal Director Assistant. I became the director and producer of short documentary films and other genres.

Since 2018 she has been successfully directing and producing her own film projects within all genres.

Personally she is a big fan of the US and Scandinavian death metal, UK heavy metal, and stoner rock from Australia. Leavs and works in North London.

Director Statement

THE LUNATIC is a student debut short feature horror film involving polish artists in Poland and in the UK as well. The film was finished in 2010, however, the open and end credits animation both with music original score and film poster designing was produced between 2020 - 2022.

At the time of directing and producing The Lunatic in Cracow, the director's film vision wasn't able to be achieved due to many difficult aspects.
Finally, in 2020 the project re-borned luckily again, and was finished successfully in September, 2022 according to the original director's cut idea.
