Bailey K. Brown is a recent college graduate from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Art in Film & Television, as well as a minor in Business Administration. At school, she studied to become a producer and has produced multiple award winning short films in a variety of genres. Bailey puts an emphasis on her work as a narrative filmmaker, focusing on unique narration methods and collaborating with fellow artists to share their untold stories.
Born in Texas, raised in Iowa, and living in Arizona, Bailey has a great appreciation of new places and people. Having traveled to over 15 countries, she always allows herself to embrace each new culture to its fullest to appreciate a more diverse world view. However, no matter where her travels take her, she always comes home to her favorite feline friend, Akira the Cat.
The Woman in the Woods uses classical western genre imagery and turns it upside down, as our female protagonist, Grace, searches the woods to find a way back to her lost love, Anna. While the style and cinematography may remind you of a 1950's cowboy movie, the unique portrayal of time and womanhood in The Woman in the Woods will prove that not all great stories about the Wild West are from the past. I hope you enjoy my reflexive take on a classic American genre.
