The Woke Box
The Woke Box is a semi animated very loose parody of the TV show Goggle Box. For those who have never seen Gogglebox it’s about families watching TV. The Woke Box’s protagonists are two slobby Pakistani brothers, Long Asian Name and Short Asian Name who unwittingly become brainwashed by the evil TV. Long Asian Name (Yasser Kayani) is an unemployed scientific genius & victim, fresh from Pakistan and inventor of the Toilet 5000. It’s a toilet & sofa for lazy people. His brother Short Asian Name (Narin Oz) is a 10 year old school drop out obsessed with pranking his brother & making Tok Tok videos.
Enter the villain Head Media Honcho (Narin Oz) who controls all the people on the TV on literal puppet strings to carry out their evil plan: To exploit the underprivileged, tokenise & create as many labels as possible to brainwash the masses, “Divide and Conquer! Divide & Conquer!” Why? To get richer obviously & to virtue signal. Yasser & I play over 10 different characters, some of which are exaggerated imitations of current celebrities, in satirised versions of existing shows like, I’m an illegal immigrant get me out of here & British BAME Off.
The Woke Box is dangerously anarchic & non-PC: It’s the wokest non-woke satire you’ll ever watch. If triggered please watch with a first-aider on standby.
